Default E46 m3 DD

I have a m3 I've been daily driving for a little while now and was thinking of getting a 2007 tahoe to replace it. Don't really have a need for a big suv just like the new ones alot. The BMW has been great and hasn't given me any problems but I have z06 and wonder if maybe I would be happier having that diversity of one big suv and one sports car instead of two 2 door cars though they are totally different animals. What do yah think? Trade in for the tahoe or keep the m3?

I had a Truck and a Vette for years. I also had a 4 door car to drive in between.

I got rid of the truck and just have the 4 door DD and Vette.

I miss my truck.

If I ever get another DD it would be a truck SUV, and yes having the Vette as a fun car on the side would be enough to have a big lumbering vehicle as a DD.

Just my $.02.

I had a 2001 Tahoe recently replaced with a 2010. I really like them. Comfortable and useful. I know they don't get the best mileage but both of mine have been 4x4 and work quite well off road so adds to the value for me.

I considered getting a CTS-V instead but realized I didn't need a fast family car since I have a Vette and other sports cars.

I guess I'm just the opposite of you. I like having a lighter car (as a second vehicle) than the Corvette. There's nothing like the feel of a featherlight car to tear up the twisties. My wife has a hybrid SUV, so if there is ever a need to move things, we've got that covered.

Well luckily my daily commute is about 15 miles total to work and back so gas mileage won't be to big of a problem thankfully. How reliable are the new 2007 Tahoes? Anything to look out for? Getting one with a little mileage on it a bad idea?

Having a large SUV around is very nice and handy. My H2 was in the shop last week for a couple of minor warranty repairs and I had a 2010 Suburban 4x4 LT for 3 days since Hummer had to order a part. I was quite pleased with the power, ride, interior and really impressed with the gas mileage..... with the DOD(displacement on demand) I got an average of 16.4 MPG with pretty much all around town type of driving. My H2 nets me 11-12 in the same situation (but it has the 6.2L). One of my best friends has a 2007 Tahoe LTZ (his wife drives it), they love it, no problems and they are getting 17-18 MPG with most around town driving.

I say go for it
