After the 991 has been out for a bit I'll be looking for one just like that. In the meantime I very happily bide my time with a more affordable alternative...

Thanks, it has sport and nav, interior is sea blue. I like your 996

I'm not familiar with sea blue, but like all of the full leathers I'm sure it's a nice look.

I like your 996

Or the problem was denial. I drove my C6 90k miles and from start to finish it had some sort of creak or rattle here and there.

My 02 Z06 didn't rattle or squeak. My Cayman S does have a squeak but I'm pretty sure I know what it is and that it can be fixed.

Beautiful car OP.

In my opinion the rattles had nothing to do with the weatherstripping. I honestly don't know where they came from. All I know is that the rattles showed in both cars within a couple weeks of driving and got worse and stayed about the same.
Then again, people who live near pothole-infested streets will get said rattles no matter what car they drive. That could be your problem!

I won't deny that. In SA we have potholes so large we name them after city leaders.

Here's a shot of the 2004 911 C4S I picked up last year. Fun car with great handling. The rims are from a 2010 Turbo.

Very nice car. I had to take a picture of this one at the ALMS race at Elk Hart Lake yesterday. Car looks new and has over 228,000 miles on it.[IMG][/IMG]

congrats,...and sweet car,...that's the car we're going back to!,...we currently have a 2008 911 turbo,., manual,...awd of course, which numbs down the steering and handling feel...[has sport chrono and reaf lock. diff.,...which makes the car a beast,but....] miss the sublime feel of that rear wheel drive manny tranny carrera s!,...soooo,...that's what we're going back to!,..will get a vette when the teen starts to drive soon,...and we don't have to cart her around in that tiny 911 back seat!
