Default HP wars continue with 700HP Infiniti sedan

CTSV will be late to the party even if it gets all of the ZO6's 650 HP

Dont put much faith into articles from Yahoo auto.

*IF* Infiniti decides to put that engine in the Q50, it will be the same unit that comes in the GTR. That engine current makes 560hp. Do you really think they are going to push 700hp for a sedan.. when their flagship sportscar doesnt break the 600hp mark?

mehhh it's a car that they may sell 500 and almost 100k nothing like a 662hp mustang or 700+ challenger or 650 hp corvette. Its some luxury car no one cares about for some yuppies

Uhhhhhh---yes I do. Its going to very likely be a hybrid which the GTR will likely be also, and or KERS. Detuned to 700HP from likely 750-800. They want to compete with M5 and AMG.

Read my last post. Its a 4 door to compete with 4 doors. Quite self explanatory. Porsche will do the same thing.

the Eau Rouge as it will be named will add a hybrid motor to the existing gtr powerplant making fo over 700 h.p.The only drawback is the first year it wont have a dual clutch transmission.

True--but not sure if it will ever get DCT according to Nissan. It has packaging problems(hint hint hybrid batteries?). GM said same thing why DCT wouldn't be in the C7.

Let me know when that actually happens. Nissan is struggling to sell a $100,000 GTR with 560hp.

Its never been a high volume car, especially when most every fan knows a new one is right around the corner. Other cars have caught up to its performance. Its cyclical like everything else. The ZR1 also proved that 100k price point for a chevy is an easily saturable market, especially with the C7 around the corner. No different really
