Well...couldn't afford a ZR1, so...
...so I bought a ZR2 instead!
Yeah...not really C7 related, but thought the ZR1/ZR2 joke was worth a laugh.
Been thinking about changing things up with the GSCE's garage mate from the Wrangler JK I've had for the last few years. Wasn't as impressed with the Wrangler JLs as I thought I would be, so figure it was time to go a different route. Once I settled on the Colorado ZR2, I found out about Kinetic Blue and that was it for me...had to track one down. (a Kinetic Blue Vette would look spectacular!)
Turned out there was a grand total of ONE Kinetic Blue, extended cab, ZR2, w/ the Dusk package (rollbar, black emblems, black rims) for sale in the US. It was in DE, and following a failed attempt to get the local dealer to do a dealer trade, I set off on yet another out of state vehicle purchase. I'm getting good at them! A hat tip to Diver Chevrolet in Wilmington, DE. No clue how they might be for dealing with Vettes, but I dealt directly with the sales manager, Doug Diver, and they were very easy to work with dealing over phone/email. Some dealers have no clue how to use the Internet for sales or work long distance deals, but Diver is apparently one who "gets" it.
Couple more pics for those interested:

Well...that lasted in C7 for all of about 10 seconds. Guess the joke wasn't as funny as I though.

I think what Chevy calls Kinetic Blue on the Colorado is probably the new blue on the C7 with a different name that currently escapes me, which I believe they start painting sometime soon. It's the Admiral Blue replacement.
Nice truck!
