This one will probably never be restored. All numbers matching. All were 340 six pack powered.

First car to offer different size tires front to rear. Big and Littles

Automatic

Fiberglass Hood

It sat for over a year in a container. Charged the battery, gas in the carburetor and it ran.

340-6

That has to be super rare. I was into Mopars back in the day and I’ve never heard of a 340-6 auto. Wow.

When we pulled it out (with the aid of an F150) to get it running for the local Cars and Coffee in Richmond. It was in a shipping container. We were about 30-45 miles away and we had to rush to make it before the weather went South. The weather won.

If you look close you can see the red clay from the dirt and gravel driveway. There was a discussion about washing it off, but I thought it looks period correct for the car. She is not a trailer queen. (Funny from the person who has been accused of being the King of Trailer Queens.)

As a side note, I did an oil and filter change later Saturday. We had noticed a lot of condensation in the breather cap.
The shipping containers were a necessary evil that are not needed now.

That 340 six pack surprised a lot of street races back in the day.

989 Auto's and 1411 4 speeds being produced from late March to mid April. The rarest T/A is a one of one with a sunroof. To say I'm a Mopar freak is understated!! MOPAR stands for "My Own Personal Adrenaline Rush".

I never knew about a T/A with an auto trans, probably because I've never seen one!
I have a friend that has had a "Panther Pink" T/A 340-6pack, 4 speed for 40 years now. He always said it was "one of seven" made.
Really cool cars!

At the Corvette musclecar nationals in Chicago the rarest of the rare Challenger was there with it’s 426 hemi with gator vinyl roof. The actual vinyl looks like a gator hide. One owner Detroit City Black Police Officer.

Default We took this to Chicago last year.

This was entered in the survivor class. There was over 70% respray so it did not qualify after the Judges inspection.

The T/A’s big brother. 440 six pack 4 speed. Air grabber hood. This car is eye candy with it’s graphics and color.

Almost bought a 70 T/A Challenger back in the day was out car shopping and it was buried 6 deep in a small lot in Colo Spgs
Salesguy said he'd need a day or two to get it out for a test drive.
Me: nah cant wait..think I'll buy this 70 442 I know about
Should have gone back, It was White with black vinyl top and interior.

Yes still have the 442

Nice car. Dodge DY3 Cream color. I would enjoy it just like it is.
Most people don't know how special the AAR/TA cars were even some Mopar guys.
Special 340 block with larger webbed mains, special heads with offset pushrods w/adjustable rocker arms, fast ratio steering, Edelbrock alum intake with 3 Holley 2300 carbs,
special suspension with different size tires f/r, side exhaust, fiberglass fresh air hood. I've got the sister car an AAR. Great collectable cars.

Default It is quite peppy!

With the the shift kit in the automatic, it is pretty fast from the stoplights. I am sure the ragged appearance would surprise people.

The owner of this sister TA had owned the car since it was almost new. He freaked out when we showed him pictures. He had never seen the same color before. Ironically another person an hour before showed him his matching TA.

Maybe the prettiest AAR and one of the nicest cars at the show.

I need to make that show one of these days.
Love the black AAR, looks cool with the black stripes.
Was at a local swapmeet a few years ago and came across a tubbed/rollcaged '70 cuda drag car for sale.Saw the BS23JOB on the data plate and knew it was an AAR and a TX9 black car to boot. Posted pics of the plate and for sale contact number. Turns out to be the only TX9 with red interior AAR made. Somebody snatched it up and it's undergoing a resto now.
BTW, beautiful RR you have there.
