Is the S2000 more fun to drive though?

A couple pics from the track.
Ran a best of 11.16/125.82 spinning out of the hole pretty bad.
Made 3 runs, and must have picked up a bolt and screw in the left rear tire before the 3rd run.
One screw was still in the tire after the run but the other "whatever" was in the tire must have flown out either on launch or shortly after leaving the line.
Freaking hole in the tire was huge and we almost couldn't plug it for the drive home.
The tire ended up flat by about half track but still ran an 11.36/124...
Fun time and I look forward to getting back out there, AFTER I buy at least two new rear tires...
My buddy Mike's 997 TT as well...

Yes, awd.
My best 60' was around a 1.83 but the tires had too much air pressure.
It was really spinning off the line.
I had wanted to try lowering it but after I got the flat I called it a day and felt lucky to be able to drive the two hours home.

I don't blame you, for wanting to get home...Your MPH is definitely indicative of a 10 sec. run...Hopefully, you get that under your belt soon !!

Thanks, guys.
Yea, this thing launches really hard.
I do want to pick up some form of gps-based accelerometer and see what it runs 0-60 on the street.

Yea, I had a Vbox, they are pricey.
I am considering a Dragy.

Surprisingly, the insurance is the cheap part...
Those two rear tires I need to buy are going to run over $1K.
I agree that Porsche has done a great job with this platform.
It was just one car I have always appreciated and I wanted to have one for a period of time before I croak.

I just did a a quote and it come out to 2 grand a year. Why, because I have a 20 year old on my policy. Once she comes off the policy after college, it should be cheaper.

You could just tell her she needs to be an adult and get her own insurance now...

My parents made me get my own insurance if I wanted to drive. Puts some responsibility on them.

Very nice driver, does everything it is supposed to do, as expected.
Fills one of my lifelong goals to own a Porsche Turbo.
Should be hitting the dragstrip this coming weekend if the weather is good.
Beautiful car ! Congrats.
I definitely want to own a Turbo S at some point.
I have had 2 Porsches, one a 991.1 GT3. Was an amazing car. I just picked up my 2021 Carrera, and its fantastic as well.
Enjoy that Turbo !!!!!!

Thanks.
They are nice.
Those GT3's are very nice and the new Carrera's are particularly nice, as well as very quick from what I have read.
It's amazing how Porsche has continued to improve the 911 marque.
