Default Salem Vette Dealer Serivce

Hi All,

This is for anyone in the Salem area.

I have been having many problems with Capitol Chevrolet in Salem. I think it all comes down to their management.

1. They double the list price on some of their parts.
2. They take a week and a half to diagnose a dead battery.
3. They wash and damage the car even when asked not to wash.
4. They keep the car the whole day to do a simple service (like oil change).

etc, etc...

Well, I decided to try Power Chevrolet in Sublimity. I was very pleased. I had a 1:30pm appointment and I showed up early. They took me in early. They were polite and friendly. They did the service in about 30 minutes. I brought my own oil and they charged $19.95 for the filter and labor, which I think is reasonable.

I know it is only one time, but I drove away happier than all the times from Capitol Chevy.

The weird thing was that all the sales guys had their noses pressed to the glass to see the Z06 convertible. I got the "I did not know they made a Z06 convertible" several times. And these guys are Chevy Salesmen.

I did look at a new Tahoe Z71 Flex Fuel. There was no pressure and I walked away feeling like I would consider buying a vehicle from them. Yes, it was black and silver!

Just thought I would share. I will be going back there for service again.

Thats good to hear. I am reading my recall notice for the fob sensor for the 08, so I guess I have to take it in. I have not heard anything about the local dealers in Eugene. Wondering if there is a vette friendly dealer here.

Yes, I would trade in the F150. The Tahoe now get 20 mpg highway and the F150 gets 14 mpg. 20 MPG on regular gas NOT E85.

Thanks Patrick ,
I quit going to Cap chev years ago because of the service dept. I will have to try Sub. chev the next time a dealer would be nice to work on the pickup. Car is only worked on by me or TJ's.

Althoug TJ's is spendy, it costs alot to fix the things I worked on.
