I could not get the bulb in by sticking my hand through, so I took it another step and took out the two bolts that hold the headlight and let it "swing down" so I could get easy access to put in the bulb.
I was going to hide the ballast, ignitor, resistor, but ended up putting everything behind each headlight. It's "clean" but not hidden. I had the drivers side ballast hidden, but when I put the headlight back together it hit the ballast, so I moved it.
I had installed HIDs on my previous car, so that helped. I knew the "concept."
Did you get the slim balasts? We ended up hooking my balast to the bolt that holds the fog lights in. Worked great there. Then zip tied the wires and in line resistor to the brake ducts. The one mod we did do was instead of reversing the wires as directions said we connected the plug upside down and zip tied that.

I reversed the wires. It was pretty easy.
I did get the slim ballasts. I have HID fogs from the radioflyer and there was enough crap down there already. I figured since when I go to shows, I leave my hood closed, it's a not a big deal. If I ever start to really "show" my car and do more in the engine bay, I can always work on hiding things then.
