Default Light Install

With the help of Gregg(o2ebvert) I installed some switchback LED's and 6000K HID low beams on the vette. It was 2 hours of interesting directions, trial and error, and a lot of screws and bolts. BUT this was the result and despite needing an adjustment I'm fairly pleased.

I can't wait to get my 6000k HIDs installed. Mine should be here Tuesday according to the tracking.

Nice you'll have to let me know how the install went(his directions are a bit cooky) and post a pic....OH and if you have to re-aim let me know how it goes. I may wait to do mine until then as I'm not sure how.

One thing I've noticed his how much more blue the pics make em look. They are more a bright white with a tinge of blue in them. Think I'll be saving for fogs now

I'm hoping the install goes ok. When I was having fog issues, I had my headlights "off" to get more room down there. (disconnected, but still swinging in place)

I also installed an HID kit on my previous car, so I'm hoping all goes well.

(Although I know there will be problems. There always is when I do something. )

My Jaguar has rear fog lights. The bulbs are in with the tail lights and stop light bulbs. The fog light lens is red in color and very bright.

Sometimes when I have a rear sniffer behind me I'll turn them on and watch the sniffer back off.

Works every time, night or day. They are bright as heck and even more so on the freeway in the rain/fog at night.

I just had to order another hid fog bulb from that auction site to replace the one that burnt out. I also take the complete headlight out in able to gain access. Doesn't take more than 10 min to get the headout out.

Looks good though. I will have to post pics of mine when the kit comes in.

Mine came in yesterday. I'll probably install them this weekend or early next week. I can't wait.

Hmmmm I thought my response was posted here but I see it ended up in the "cars that melt in the rain" section

What I was asking was ... do you and your dad run the same exhaust system? In the walk around vid your cars sound slightly different?

At the end of the walk around vid I could really see the difference in the brightness of the headlights

Answered your question in the other thread, but I have GHL Bullets, and Dad has B&B Bullets with Dynatech headers.

The install went ok.

I could not get the bulb in by sticking my hand through, so I took it another step and took out the two bolts that hold the headlight and let it "swing down" so I could get easy access to put in the bulb.

I was going to hide the ballast, ignitor, resistor, but ended up putting everything behind each headlight. It's "clean" but not hidden. I had the drivers side ballast hidden, but when I put the headlight back together it hit the ballast, so I moved it.

I had installed HIDs on my previous car, so that helped. I knew the "concept."
