I have the service ABS, traction and active handling.
Any one recommend a shop to help me fix this?
I did clean the ground and the module looks fine as far as corrosion.
Thanks,
Mike

I took the car up to Ellis and he confirmed a bad EBCM so pulled the module. I gave him the contact info for www.absfixer.com and told him he could either send it back or get the kit and do the rebuild himself.
The cost for ABS Fixer to do the rebuild including shipping was $125.00 so that is the route he took.
I'm expecting the module back the first of the week.
The car can still be driven with the module removed as long as folks understand that A/H, TRAC and ABS aren't there to help out if needed.
I believe Ellis said you provided the calibration for his Tech II and I want to thank you again for the diagnostic tree.
Mike, it sounds like you may have the same issue so glad to answer any questions if I can and C1214 is solenoid valve relay contact or coil circuit open.

No problem, any time. Mikes problem maybe something else, he has a stalled motor issue which could be the ABS unit itself and not the electronics. They are a very robust unit and will usually last the life of the car, however there has been a few ocassions when I find the main unit to be at fault.
Thanks all for the responses.
Tom I have no way of running the tests in the document you sent me. Many thanks but I do not have the knowledge or equipment to do this. Why do you think it is a bad ABS unit as opposed to the common ebcm failures?
Mike

Because the C1214 says that the abs system voltage dropped under 8 volts for .23sec or more. That means that the abs motor is having trouble getting going (low volts due to the motor pulling a lot of power trying to go).
That BPMV has a list price of $2400.
I'm still fighting an intermittent C1218, which also calls for a replacement of the BPMV.
You're code COULD be set by a bum ground, I'd recheck all of those. Remember that the grounds are not just on the frame rail by the ABS unit, there is also one by the battery, and I'd check the aforementioned door connector as well.
By "check" i mean take them apart, clean, dielectric grease, etc. Don't just assume its ok because there is no corrosion.
OK I will check the other grounds. Still not sure why Tom thinks it is the BPMV. Every thread/post that had to do with this code were all for either the grounds or the EBCM.

Hi Mike sorry for not answering faster, its been busy here. The reason I am suspecting that the BPMV is at fault is because the fault that you have is not one that is commonly set when the electronics side of the system is at fault. As one previous thread said, the low voltage issue could be that the pump motor is stalled or is pulling voltage down due to issues with the motor. Its not a 100% sure thing that the pump unit is bad, it is just suspect.
