I'll be hosting another open lapping day at Pacific Raceways just like before. We will run three run groups with 21 cars in each group for the best traffic management.
Registration can be found at www.motorsportreg.com and look for the name Turn 2 Lapping. Something that my wife came up with instead of Tom's Track Day.
My contact information is there as well if you would like to contact me directly.
At our last event, we had such a great time. Register early as we sold out early last time.
Pending Review just means that Gregory has put into the system a trigger that he will review to make sure that your skill level is equal to the run group that you requested. Not a big deal at all. You are registered, it was just an issue of placement. I am so looking forward to this as there is little traffic and everyone there knows what to do. Someone put it to me the other day. It is like a Varsity Club Event. Looking back, I guess it is.
We do have a good turn out so far. I will see you tomorrow. Make sure that you come and find me. Blake, my 18 yr old son is driving the vette tomorrow at the PCA event. He can't come to my event yet as he is not solo'd off yet. Hopefully soon.
I also am instructing at the Mustang day on Thursday. That is a lot of seat time. Especially tomorrow having the track open 12 hours.
It was good to see everyone today at the CMCS day. Everyone behaved themselves and had a great time.
I looked this morning and noticed that there are 10 positions left for this event still available for those that may qualify. I know there is still a month left before this event occurs, just thought that those wanting to have the Turn 2 Experience may want to look into it.
Is it okay for my wife to bring my two grade school aged kids to watch from the stands?
Just want to make sure there isn't an insurance restriction.
Thanks,
Shawn.
Shawn, that is no problem at all. Like everyone else, they have to sign waivers as they get onto the property, but it will be fun for all!
I will be bringing a friend that was a sports car enthusiast and an oral surgeon by trade. He has had an accident (not car related) that has left him in a wheel chair. I am giving him a ride in the Mustang race car as it has a great passenger seat and full harness to hold him in place. When I talked to him about it, all he said was "bucket list".
Thank you all for allowing these kind of events to take place by participating as we can have fun, be safe, and hopefully change the lives of others. I have no doubt that this will be something that he will talk about for years.
