So Diane and I decided a visit to Sequim Wa was in order! Time to visit mother-in-law.
The Sunday in question started foggy and cold. However it was to be sunny so we each took our own vette and headed for the ferry! She was in the C6 and I in the 69. Over on highway 101 we were cruising at speed limit speeds with me in the lead and her 3 cars back. I passed a state trooper parked on the side. Watching in the mirror, the trooper pulled out and the lights came on! What the heck! I watched in the mirror as my bride got pulled over! Yep! First time since I've known her, my wife got pulled over! She received a warning for no front license plate!

On the way home we were in line for the ferry with her in front of me. We boarded the ferry where I was pulled aside by the crew in my 69 thus separating us. She went on and parked normal in line with other cars and I was directed right up the center of the ferry to the front where there is MUCH more space for cars! Very nice! No door dings for me! Not only that but when we unloaded I was one of the first cars off the boat and a clear run without ferry traffic! LOL! My poor bride was stuck unloading with the rest of the cars!

I arrived home much sooner than she did! It was a great day! LOL!

Sounds like a very nice day, indeed! That's a pretty drive as well - even better that your bride only received a warning instead of a ticket. I still don't have a front plate on my car either. What a bunch of scofflaws...

Good story and it sounds like you actually had a good trip.

It reminds me greatly of the time my wife was following me from Enumclaw to our home following a fun day of fast lapping at SIR. I had a rare opportunity to drive a Ferrari or two and greatly enjoyed myself, althiugh it took a long time for the experience to wear off. We were both ticketed for speeding by a trooper who claimed to have radar that could read oncoming cars one after another. What made this sad was that she was following me closely because she wasn't familiar with the area. All perfectly understandable so I felt we had a "case" and so arranged for us to both appeal our tickets with the magistrate at the Enumclaw court.

To make a long story short, guess who got their ticket dismissed and who had to pay the "price".?

I hope someday she'll find it in her heart to come back to me so I can explain.

I have also come to discover that Stouffer's lasagne can maintain life even if eaten nearly every day.

Just sayin
