I've read that the SEM brand paint is a dead match to some of the resto paints being sold for interior. I've found a cheap source $7 a can but I don't know the name of the actual 82 red int. color. SEMS color chart will vary depending on what picture you look at. Does anyone know the Chevy color name or the SEM that will match the 82 or the name of the color of any of the other paints being sold ( CA, Eklers, etc.) ?

I think the only interior red colour option for 81-82 was Dark Red...

I have a 78 with a trim code #722 which is Dark Red. I don't know if your Red is the same code.

I had to repaint most of the interior trim and I found that regular Rust-oleum, Krylon or even Dollar Store brand spray can paint called "Regal Red" was a perfect match. All the interior metal and plastic parts including the dash pad and headliners were painted 5 years ago and they are still as good as new.

Tony, 1977,1978,1979,1980 the interior red is 72BN med.red ppg#72246. 1981 the interior red was 75BN med.red ppg#72416 I am not shure why but the 81 color matches the 77,78,79,80. and has a different number. SEM color coat aerosol has a dead on match #15363 portola red. The 1982 model year corvette was 74CN dark carmine ppg #72273 this color is darker than med. red and On the SEM chart 15463 cabernet is close but only comes in gloss. I would check your local ppg supply and have them mix you a pint or quart of the product they make for interior repaint. By the way ppg purchased SEM last year.One other thing is that GM made dark carmine as an interior choice on other models In 79,80,81 and from what I have been told on a corvette special order you could almost have any color you wanted.
