primer rubber bumper or not
i am wet sanding my old rubber bumper down, should i primer it or just go right to paint when i paint the rest of the car.in the old days we added a flex addiditve, but i know the new paints are different

Flex agent in primer would be a good idea, but not totally necessary if you don't move it around too much. Urethane (I assume that's what you will be using) is a lot more flexible than the older lacquers or enamels. But if you want more flex, there's an additive for that for Urethanes as well.

The best method from my experience is to prime the fascia with Transtar Hydroflex Waterborne Primer http://www.tat-co.com/product.asp?ID=187. This product is designed as a primer for urethane fascias and will fill minor defects. You can wet sand it and block sand it, works very well. Follow with your base coat and then clear with flex additive.
