in 35 years i have never seen a hack job that did not show at times. we called it hack jobs because of sawing off the front. the line will haunt you. i absolutely refuse to do this. replacing the front clip is a pretty big job. good luck.
first of all, why do you want to remove the clip? there may be other solutions to your problem.
removing the clip is "just" a matter of separating bond strips if front of the doors and all the joint lines with the inner fenders. of course this is after you remove the bumper, splash shields, rocker panels, grills, and cowl trim. that's the easy part. then you have to find some place to store this monster piece of glass (and it is big) while you are doing whatever it is you are doing. then you have to reattach it and get it set evenly and securely in place.
all in all, it's been done many times, but it's not a job to be undertaken lightly. hence, my first question.
Disconnect all wires, remove radiator shroud and any other fasteners. Use a 1" stiff putty knife and a hammer. Find a seam and carefully tap the knife along and separate the panels from the bonding strips. Once the seam starts to split it should separate easily. Watch where the knife goes, you want to avoid cutting through panels. I sharpen my knife every so often as the glass will wear it down.
ouch!
i can't get the pics in your last post to load, but from what i can see in the first post, it's "only" (easy for me to say) the pass side area in front of the wheel? if that's the only spot, i'd recommend a repair rather than a replacement. how about a whole new fender? lot's easier and cheaper than a new clip.

i definitely agree with porchdog. repacing the rear quarter is not that difficult a job, and repairing the front clip with a surround is going to be a much easier and less costly job. i had to replace both rear quarters and the entire front end on my rebuild. i had never done any fiberglass work, but by following along other posts on the forum, i achieved good results.
