Default C3 Engine compartment paint

I notice a lot of fiberglass in the engine compartment that is natural black. What have people done to clean this up or to paint the fiber glass.

Thanks

Clean it, degrease it and paint it with a semi flat like rustoleum 777, john deere blitz black, krylon 1613 etc. If you want to use a 2 part paint, Spies Hecker Ralley Black is nice.

Uh...you don't want to put degreaser on fiberglass unless you intend to make it brittle so that it snaps off easily. Detergent and water is what you should use...my personal preference is liquid dish soap, but liquid hand soap that has no perfume or lotion will also work, or liquid laundry detergent.

I used Rustoleum, but DupliColor will also work. But, I don't think they hold up...the paint chips too easily. I've been trying to get help in this forum as to a clear coating that comes in a can, but have been unable to get any help. I'm experimenting with polyurethane, but it doesn't seem to be sticking to the paint very well.
