Colour Change $
Greetings
A simple request, how much would be a reasonable amount to do a simple colour change on a C2 hardtop? Just the top, not the car. I know that this seems a little trivial but I hate to get soaked when I have things done. The top is perfect now, nice and shiny, no scratches or marks, just the wrong colour for my car. My car is a driver so I don't need a "House of Kolor" painter of the year type job.

It all depends if the top needs to be stripped of it's old paint. Some painters wont warranty their work if they are putting it on top of someone else's,for obvious reasons. If it has to be stripped, count on 3 days worth of work to do it properly, and have it be straight.(my definition of straight anyways).
If someone is willing to do a scuff and puff, then it can be done in one day. Multiply the hours by the labor rate of any given shop and you have a ball park answer.
