Power window ?
Thanks
COMPLETELY!!!!!Assuming that you are talking about a 1982 or earlier Corvette.
BUT...there is some possible "adjustments" to your NEW window regulator that may need to be made when you attach the motor to your new regulator...or you will have the same problem again...sooner than you think. These parts are stamped out and they can be off just enough so that the teeth on the motor gear...that mesh with the teeth on the regulator gear are not quite right. It is 50/50 shot on if it will be perfect or not...from what I have found. And I say this only because I have had new regulators...in the past, until I realized the problem ...wear out the teeth on a few months. It is easy to fix...but in my opinion do not ASSUME that the regulator is perfect just because it is new.
When you are in the door replacing the regulator or installing a new gear....there are other parts that you would want to check and replace. they are quite inexpensive but are very important in the window operation. Because nothing is worse than a sloppy window that has a mind of its own...and hard to adjust and hold that adjustment.

And I have also seen an 86 Convertible have the steel type regulator in it. 86 seems to be a split year for some design changes...and I know for sure that the regulators are one of them.
