Default Looking for a color sheet

So I'm looking for a color sheet for Corvettes as I'm looking at some that could use repainting. I might go with a non-original color, but wanted to stay within Corvette colors. Are there any pages that show all the colors at least year by year. I know a site that lists all the colors, but I'd like to see them.

First off...what year(s) are these Corvettes????

And NO...paint manufacturers do not just put paint chips in their book by model. They print them by the make and year....and if you are talking about really old Corvettes...You may have a problem in finding the color information...unless you can find a paint supply shop that was around ( in business) at the time that that year Corvette was manufactured...and they still kept the old color information.

Also if you are talking about the older Corvettes...those colors were sprayed in lacquer in many cases and the new paint systems may not offer a color that is a match to it...because the useage is so low, they do not what to spend the time and money in formulating a color for a color that will be rarely used in many cases....and your color would have to be possibly custom mixed. I do it quite often on the older Corvettes...so I can apply basecoat/clearcoat.

Now ...in the paint system I use...they have what they call a "spectrum deck"...which is a paint deck(s) that start from light and go to dark in that color family...blue for instance. When you fan out the deck...many times I can find a color that is very close to the factory color where I can start there...and tint the color to get what I am looking for. Sometimes the colors are so close...they need no tinting. These decks have both solid colors and those with metallics.

C4s, I am basically looking for a "spectrum deck" but specifically for Corvettes. I know I like some of the C1 colors. If there isn't already something, I think it would be rather cool to have a database of all the paint options through the years with pics.

I think this is going to be something for you to compile on your own. Nothing that I am aware of ...just for Corvettes.

But also understand that if you acquire the color samples from a paint manufacturer...and peel the color samples off of the page and make your own...that the colors that they have ARE NOT EXACT...and that is also written on the...something like "not to be used as an exact color reference/match". They are close...and with so many variants to colors now-a-days...you would end up with a serious library of ALL the colors and variants to each of them.

Best of luck in your "mission".

This link has every corvette paint code and color name by year.
It has the GM code, PPG, valspar, Dupont etc.

COR\/ETTE Paint Codes

I did the same thing your are doing a few weeks ago. What I did was google the paint name, GM code and sometimes the PPG code. I made one large poster of every OEM color avl on the C4 corvette 84-96. I have since deleted the poster or I would send it too you. I did not take long to do.

Finding pictures of custom colors is another story. I had a real hard time finding non factory color C4 corvette's.
