I have a painted top on my 89 Vette, but it is actually off a 96 car. When I bought the top it already had cracks/breaks from flying off the car while driving. My question is this...what resin is required to repair the 96 roof panel..and where can I get it?
Thanks Doug, it not only looks like it will fit the bill, but they have items to repair the bumper cover damage that I've been looking into. Two things with one source......most body supply houses here don't want to talk to a "civilian" when you walk in, hence my question. Again Thanks big time!
The Fusor product is great for bonding the underside of panels. BUT if you plan on using it on the outside of the panel and prime and paint over it. I personally would not. It is not designed for that. And it would have to be covered with another product that will allow priming and painting to occur....due to swelling of the Fusor can occur due to the solvents in the primer.
To each his/her own. I would use an epoxy resin from West Sytems..if the cracks or missinig sections are bad. And if it scratches..I would use a product from Fiberglass/Evercoat for them.
