Default Garage dust

whats up fellas, I have an 09 ZO6 that is always garaged. the only cleaning my Z gets is when I take it to my detailer..my question is, when my baby sits for awhile, dust seems to accumulate on the top part of the vehicle, i.e. hood, front fenders, roof, and trunk..then when she does get driven, brake dust just seems to make their home in the rear area of the vehicle(pretty common with these vehicles i guess)..I usually wipe down the front of the vehicle, with a spray wax that removes the grime and outside stuff that goes on in the front area after a leisure drive(yes i drive it hard..lol..)

My question is, after she has been sitting in the garage, what do you guys use before she gets driven to remove the dust from the car..friends told me a car duster, which is a big no no in my book, because it'll mar the clearcoat(i know that)...some people tell me to use the spray wax i have and just spray and wipe(with a microfiber towel and not in a circular motion)..I dont want to wash the vehicle as she did just get detailed..and its not like the car is really dirty..for the OCD guys like me, what do you guys do or use for something like this..and no, i dont use a car cover because from my prior vehicles, this usually scratches the clearcoat also from applying and removing the cover..anybody do anything different that I should know about??

Either seek help for your OCD condition...or you may have to purchase or construct a totally clean filtered room for your car if this is such a big issue for you. Dust is a part of our world..as you know.... that unless to take steps to stop it from entering the environment that you store your "baby" in...there is no getting rid of it.

Washing the car is about the only method....because often times "dry wiping" it can scratch the surface.

I also have some OCD issues...because I wash every car that leaves my shop to make sure that it looks clean. BUT... I do not worry about every little speck...due to they are not paying for a detailing....it is a courtesy wash they are getting. So I understand.
