Hi, I'm Looking to Buy Some 2000 vette rims 5 thin Spoke.. Some are polished and some are Painted Silver..
The ones I'm going to buy are Silver and i want to hit them with paint remover (Aircraft Stripper) and Hope i can get some Polished underneath.. I have Done this with many wheels in the past and they are almost always polished under the paint.
But before i buy theses I'm Trying to find out if anyone has any experience Doing this with theses rims and Would be kind enough to Share some info..
Thanks
"ARE THEY POLISHED UNDER?"
I honestly doubt that they are polished under the paint. Gm powder-coats their wheels from my understanding...and it would be pointless to polish them if they are going to be powder-coated on. Just make sure that you are not chemically stripping a MAGNESIUM wheel....which are usually the bronze wheels. The stripper can do much damage to it...from my understanding about it.
