I just started stripping paint of my vette. I am using chemical stripper (Captain Lee's Spra' Strip). It removes the paint pretty well, but not primer.
What is the best (fastest and safest), way to easily remove primer? I was using orbital sander with scotch brite pad but is very time consuming.
Any ideas?

I feel your pain, for my non-gelcoat C1 some people say to use a red scotch brite pad with lacquer thinner and that did work but then some folks say that is a bad idea because the newer lacquer thinners are not so pure any longer.
I ended up with an Eastwood soda blaster to get the primer off, that was pretty easy and did not damage the glass.
chemical stripper is nice but dosent work all the time and its messy.i just got done stripping a 66 vette that was in bad shape. i soda blasted it since i had everthing to do it.but the eastwood blasters are reasonable and work great.
Which blaster did u use? and what compressor I would have to get to power it?

I bought a 5 HP 60 gal stand up compressor from Harbor Freight then I got the dual blaster from Eastwood. I have only used soda so far, I will do harder media on the chassis.
