I need help on buffing,
I bought a fiberglass targa top and sanded a painted it with base coat and clear coat. I used PPG paint and clear, I had little specks in the paint so I wet sanded with 1000 and then 1500, I used meguiars 1 medium-cut, then follow up with meguiars 7, on my buffer I have a wool pad on the buffer and I can not get the shine back like it was before sanding
You still have to many fine scratches to get any gloss. Sand it to 3000 to remove the 1500 scratches. Medium Cut Cleaner is to coarse, use Meguiars Fine Cut Cleaner instead, 2 or 3 times if nessesary with a rotary buffer and the wool pad. Follow up with Meguiars #3 Machine Glaze on a orbital buffer with a foam pad 2 or 3 times. Then use Meguiars Swirl Mark Remover. Save the #7 for detail work later on.
