I'm saving my money for the AirTower 5c, and if I stick with paint work, this is what I would get:
http://us.kaeser.com/Products_and_So...er/default.asp
This package comes with a built-in dryer system - has everything, all rolled into one box. It's rotary screw, so you would need to run it hard.
The 5c is rated at 21.2cfm @ 125cfm.
4c is 15.9, but the 5c is a little more.
I was quoted $7,800 for the 5c, to give you an idea. I don't do this for a living, but I do know Kaesr from my work, when I managed maintenance for a manufcaturing facility where we used lots of air and vacuum. Karser is the best at what they do, and in rotary screw compressors, they are the best.

To follow up. I stripped the plates and re-applied the epoxy primer-was flawless. I also put primer on a sheet of plastic that had been sanded and also had the same treatment with the DX330 wax and grease remover. I sprayed the black acrylic enamel and the same result was obtained as shown in the initial post. I had the next color (yellow) and sprayed that-the same result. Additionally, the yellow paint that I sprayed over the black had the defects in areas not in the same areas as in the black. I believe the paint is the problem. It is from TPC Global and is their "Restoratilon Shop". I'm inclined to buy PPG acrylic enamel or urethane. Can an apparently low end paint cause these problems? I have checked the air out of the hose and there is no water or debris that I can find.

my opinion of tcp global is pretty low. shopline is as bargain bin as it gets.
