the suggested temp range is usually printed on the can or tech sheet.

Mid temp reducers and activators are typically in the 70-80 range.

You can use them when it is cooler but allow for longer flash times between coats and the paint will be more susceptible to dirt and trash as it is wet longer.

Also it will be more likely to run when it is cooler than recommended.

Good Luck,

***TIP****

DO NOT apply the first coat too heavy or thick...basically NOT trying to get it to cover in ONE COAT.

I agree with CF6873 100%.

Above 50 degrees is best. More importantly look for a low humidity on paint day. Warmer is good, but if you match your reducer to the temperature and it is "dry" outside you will get a better result than if it is more than 60 percent or so relative humidity. I would hesitate to spray on a day with more than 70 percent or so humidity because the chance for "blush" (a milky surface appearance) increases with the RH.

I have looked on the paint and activator no infor on the the degree of temp. Also on line no infor on temp in degrees.Last year I stripped to glass did body work and sprayed with SPI expoy I then laying some paint body looked good but with buffing it all turn bad (milky),I now have a dryer for my compressor ( Arrow 1 Quart) I still have a couple of months before it will be warm enough to paint I will keep a eye for the humity,I have SPI single stage black.I did use PPg Omi did not like it.It had a brown tint to it,It was tux black.
I sanded the car down to the expoy so I will shoot a coat of expoy sealer and then the color. It is a learning curve some info is good some bad.The problem is I didn't know what questions to ask the farther I go the more I learn Thanks Vince

Call the Paint manufacturer and ask them. They should be able to tell you all you need to know about their product
