If it's just a few small spots you can add primer only to those spots.

But looking at your pic you've gone through in so many places I'd add primer to that whole area. Remember you'll have to wet sand again and may go through unless it's thick enough.

Yes...it is possible that the gasket in question was a part of the problem.

You can use the 1.8 head but it would require adjusting fluid and air pressure, viscosity of paint, etc. to get it to work. I have shot paint with guns that were like a fire hose. All it took was testing and adjusting to get it to where I could apply the product I was needing to apply.

For basecoats I use a 1.3 head...but that is just me and it works with my paint system.

The 1.8 tip I only use with primers which is what the P30 is. When I used my Finishline for Base I switched to my 1.4 tip. I now use the Finishline strictly for primer and use a Teckna with a 1.3 for base and clear.

Markids77, it is primer. I am going to spray a 69 Lemans blue base over it.

In any event, I am going to practice to get the primer to go on smooth and then I will re-shoot the entire car.
