I have an Apsis carbon fibre front spoiler. I have picked up noticeable road chips. How can I repair it and still maintain the carbon fibre look. I don't want to paint it black unless I have to.
Thanks
You will need to get a hold of the manufacturer and obtain some of the resin used when making the part. Often times they will spray or paint in a clear layer before they make the part due to this material has much better UV hold-out than the regular resin used in making the part.
The chips will have to be cleaned out of any crap and then prepped so the mix can be brushed in. Once that has dried/cured...you will then need to sand these areas down flat and then buff the repair to a shine again. Even doing it this way may show where these chips were due to the new mix being shinier than the original finish....which can be slightly "milky" or dull due to exposure to the elements and the sun.
