On a 64, how is the underside of the hood painted, is it the same as the outside, or is the raised area which gives it support is that painted gloss black and the flat area around painted the same as the outside?

What standard are to trying to achieve. As the way it was painted when it came off the line?...so it can be judged?
I paint them this way. The flat flange on the underside where it goes all the way around the hood is painted body color...and then were the under structure begins..it is a semi gloss black from there on. So the underside of the hood above the air cleaner is semi glass black...or a satin black...how ever you care to look at it. I also apply a gelcoat to the underside within the area of the under structure so it is protected from splattering oils and what-have-you...then painted on that.
