Default Replace Rivets at C2 Taillight Panel

Need to do a little repair on the portion of the rear taillight panel that has the flat headed aluminum rivets holding the steel thread inserts. It would be easier if I could remove the rivets and replace them later. Anyone ever do this? Doesn't look like a lot of room to strike the rivet from the inside. Can I strike it from the outside and use something like a dolly to mushroom the rivet?

If not I'll just leave them in place and deal with it.

Thanks

I have done this and I use my air hammer (with a flat head attachment) on the outside where the flat head of the rivet is and I have a bucking bar that is cupped out so I can buck the rivet and leave it looking like facotry. I also bolt the metal plate in place before I do this so I can install the rivets and make sure they will go in.
