Non Metallic Paint?
I think I've settled on a color. Watkins Glen Gray w/Black Trim. Similar to the new 2017. But... I want the looks of the new solid, non Metallic dark Gray's on other vehicles. Specifically the Demon.
Are we able to simply order the WGG paint in a non Metallic base? Would this work better for a single stage process?
I found this pic online.

IF the WATKINS GLEN GRAY is a metallic...having them mix the paint and take out any pearls or metallic toners WILL change the color. To what degree...I do not know...but it will change it.
Changing it from a basecoat color to a single stage changes a lot ...becasue it all depends IF the color an be converted to a single stage.
Not knowing what you are doing or what you are using it on....IF you choose to shoot single stage... that is up to you. I RARELY shoot single stage on Corvettes...I do shoot it... but it is on other things. I am a firm believer of the benefits and protection of a clear coat.
