I have a couple of project cars with cracked steering wheels i can't afford big resto costs. I have some epoxy putty sticks that are supposed to hard to like steel. Then i'd have to paint. What would hold up to and be reasonable to use for paint?
No paint that I am aware of will last on a steering wheel due to wear. So your guess is a good as mine. Which is one of the reasons I send them out for restoration if needed. I care not to me 'married' to a steering wheel for the rest of my life and have to keep painting it when it wears off.
IF I were to do it...I feel I would use a catalyzed paint instead of one out of an aerosol can that is not catalyzed.
