Default Polishing the eggcrate.

I am looking for something small to get into the small spots on my eggcrates on my 72. It is new paint and sanded to 1500. Now I need to buff
it.

Do it by finger. You won't get a machine into those areas.

I tried that. It doesn't come out like a machine, clear coat doesn't work like lacquer.

Default egg crate

How about trying a soft bristle and medium bristle tooth brush to reach those spots? I have compound various area with them on the several C4 c3 and c2's I've had and later polished to a good shine

Get some 3000 grit sand paper, then buff it by hand.

Use a air operated micro belt sander, with a polishing belt, slow it down with an air regulator and buff away...
HOWEVER the original finish is textured.
