Paint color and metallic content which will pass NCRS judging?
IF so then I highly recommend joining the NCRS and getting in touch with the national paint judges.
Something close?
REAL CLOSE
Take a 1972 Chevrolet Dealer Album which has the large paint chips and have it scanned at your sikkens dealer.
Tell them to reduce the metallic content by 30% and you should be nearly on the money. - this is where I normally begin prior to sending color spray out cards to the national paint judges.
from there I would typically (in order to minimize my fedex's) shoot an array using 30% less metallic 35% less metallic and then if I may shoot one tinted (more white - hazy, more black - muted) or on the color spectrum (in blues it could be towards green or towards purple)- if my eye sees something off.
When I say different... the difference is say a 280 gram color mix calls for 5 grams of strong black. I may change that by +/- 0.5grams... maybe only +/-0.2 grams - I am a perfectionist on color matches and they honestly take a ridiculous amount of time.
There is enough original paint on the car that I can probably scan an area that isn’t faded
I think paint matching is a black art and respect anyone’s ability to look at a colour and know how to change it
Any idea what the NCRS paint judges use as a comparison?

Color matching IS AN ART... you have to understand that even poorly polished paint will pick up any color which is reflected within it.
I went to a fine arts high school taking painting, drawing, and photography as well as studying Fine Arts and Graphic design in art school for 2 years before transferring to Clemson and majoring in engineering.
