C8 door ding?

C8 door ding?
Hi everyone,
First time Corvette owner here, so please pardon my ignorance if this is something I should already know.
I took delivery of my C8 a couple of week ago. I've noticed what looks like a small 'door ding' in the driver side door. It's more of a minor inward groove into the door than a big dent per se. The paintless dent repair specialist I had been using on my Camaro looked at it and said it can't be fixed with PDR; composite material are apparently not typically repairable this way, and apparently this 'dent' was behind some kind of support bar running alongside the drivers side door under some glue.
Couple of questions:
1) I thought these composite panels weren't 'supposed' to dent? Any possibility this was a defect and there's something wrong here that should be under warranty?
2) In the event this isn't e defect, anyone have any suggestions how to best repair a small dent in these panels?
