Window Adjustment/Binding Problem
After paint and reassembly of the doors including new weather stripping, I am having trouble adjusting my windows. I went through the step by step process and was able to get the right window nearly perfect, first time; until I put on the door panel and now it seems to bind up about two inches from the top. After cycling once or twice, it works but not as well as without the door panel, which I have attempted to adjust.
The drivers window is even more of an issue. It seems that I can adjust it fine but after lowering even half way, and then raising, it stops about a half inch from the top. I noted that when lowering the window, it seems to shift forward such then when subsequently raising, it hits the forward weather-stripping and binds up.
I figure there must be something loose inside which is allowing the window to shift but can't determine what it could be without complete disassembly. I also noted that the forward window roller seems to have no purpose as there is no track for this roller.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
