RobZ really needs to throw a set of Cartek's heads on his car , with Cartek continuing to gain more power out of there heads , I think Rob could take Brent's H/C record if he stepped it up . Come on Rob .

[QUOTE=tekhombre]Yup, it's the whole combination that makes it happen, it's a chain from components, tuning to driver.

Julio, I was hoping you didn't watch the video because I hit the limiter in every shift but I'm blaming the broken tranny on that this time!
With that mph I should have been 10.7x but I couldn't get it in gear cleanly and wasn't powershifting. On one of my passes that day where it wouldn't go into 4th(tranny), I was over .1 faster than the 10.97 at the 1/8 marker.

Rob,

It is a shame you couldn't get that thing in fourth gear a couple of those runs. You would have definetly had a better time than 10.97.

Rob made it clear that he babied the car, I dont blame him, it's not his car. Don has yet to really hit the car hard, he is getting better and better each time out. It takes time, but he is having fun either way, isn't that the point? Maybe Don will let Dr.Ron run it and get a true run out of it before it comes back to "see the light".... again.

Doug read my post above, I know rob took the car out for a Sunday drive at the track rental

Come to the light Don, there is still time, their light has a dim bulb. LOL

Hey! When does drag racing spring training start?? I got my ET streets hooked up on new rims & we're ready to go! Although only driving my car twice in the last 5 weeks doesn't help!

Of course we still use a timing light, just because the Tech-2 or Autotap displays a timing number that doesn't mean that the engine has that at the crank. If you find TDC with a piston stop, mark TDC on the crank pulley and verify it, you'll be surprised at what you will find out.

Julio

Come to the light Geneus, there is still timing, I mean time. LOL

Yes. This car is my first stick car and that was my 3rd time to a track. It was ugly, but that was just a year ago. Seat time makes all the difference.I can't practice driving like that on the street. Anyway, thanks for the help Alex. You remember when I first broke into the 11's too.I had 3.90's, headers, dr's. Let's get to a track soon.
