Default rear o2 sensor replacement

I have a 98 LS1 check engine light came on so took it to a dealer and put it on a diagnostic machine. Results said I needed to replace the rear o2 sensors. Is this a do at home job? If so does anybody have any suggestions to give? Greatly appreciated..

On my '02 Z06 is was very easy to remove the rear oxygen sensors. A cresent or open-end wrench will break it free, and from there you just unscrew it, after you have unplugged and freed up the wiring.

Good luck.

It is an easy job, hardest part is unplugging the plugs because of their location. Do them one at a time so you don't mix up the cable routes. Also, you will need some O2 sensor safe anti-seize. You can get it at Autozone. My local dealer didn't carry it, and when I asked what they used, they pulled out a can of GM anti-seize that stated in bold letters on the back "Do not use on O2 sensors"

That is a good reason to change them yourself.
