What is everones opinion that has used the VaraRam intake system on their C5s? At a claimed 40hp gain for the $400 price tag it sounds like a great deal!! But as the old saying goes some thing sound better than actually is> Thank you for any input.
i picked up 3 tenths in the quarter mile with Vararam. That equates to about 30 HP. Some of the posts I have read have stated the rule of thumb as being that it takes 10 hp to gain a tenth second.

That is correct, give or take, I got that from THE top tuner in Dallas area........so I'd say it's pretty trustworthy.
Thanks for the info shurite. Do all of you use the K&N or the foam one that comes with it?? Does one flow better than the other?
I use the foamy that came with the Vararam. I wish I would have book marked a thread on this. It stated that in testing the Vararam filter did indeed out flow the more restrictive K & N. With that said, I basically use my car for racing, now if it was mostly a high mileage hyway cruiser I would use the longer living K & N. Ultimate performance, for me, is why I stick with the Vraram 2-B filter.
