Ok, here's the situation I just bought BFGoodrich G-force T/A Drag radials. I was wondering what PSI I should run it at...it says 44 PSI On the tire, but that's wayy too high...I think, right? I was thinking running them at 25...The elevation out here is 2700 ft... I also would like to know if I should burn out in or out of water, I've been told to do one and the other by different people. I also wanted to know what I should rev to before launching Im on an Automatic and I dont have a Torque converter, Just a VARAM and Exhaust thanks for all the help to come, I also launch it in 3rd, correct??

Can't help w/ the auto launch, although I'd think launch it as high as the converter will allow, but I may be wrong. Otherwise, start at like 1500 & go up from there, depending on what the track & it's prep will allow.
As far as the drag radials, roll slowly thru the water, then pull up a few feet past it. Then do your nice, smokey DR burnout.
NEVER EVER do a burnout IN the water. You'll throw water everywhere & when you get to the line, you'll sit & spin.
I'd also lower the psi down to 16 or 17 & adjust up from there.
The psi on the tire is usually the max psi allowed for the tire.
Hope this helps!

W/o a converter if you launch well a 1.91 60' would be good...........
I would do the burnout with T/C off, stage, put it in 3rd, bring the revs up to load the driveline and then back to no more than 1K rpms.......WOT on green
What size Dr did you buy?
Fujikura, you have some good advice already. Only other thing I would recommend is checking out the Corvette Challenge at LACR as that will give you exposure to other Corvette drivers in your area www.corvette-challenge.com
I went with the 275/35 18's They didnt have 275/40's so I went with those, thanks for all your help
And with these being 25.6" dia..........a little smaller than stock that makes your rear gear like a 3.30 I use the same tire on our vert.
Get a converter & launch like this
I don't want to hijack your thread...the next West Coast Corvette Challenge event at LACR is October 29th. Check out our website at: http://www.corvette-challenge.com/

If you're new at burnouts, use 1st gear. It easier to get the tires going. After some practice, use 2nd gear, as 2nd allows you to spin the tires faster, thus, heating them more.
In either gear, just bring the revs up to 5300, dump the clutch & quickly get on the brakes, but only enough to hold the car from moving...You'll move froward a few feet until you hit the brakes, but don't panic.

i have an automatic. what do you suggest for it. thanks for you help.
TRACTION CONTROL OFF.... Pump the brakes, hold the brake pedal down. In third gear step on the gas, and ease up on the brake pressure, you should now be smoking the tires. You can lightly touch the brake in order to keep the car where you want it. Now completely remove your foot from the brake and roll out of the burnout.
