Congrats on the AFR 205's. Don't forget to put in a decent cam.

[QUOTE=laron]

How many daily driven C5's do we have on this site that trapp 123-127 mph NA????

"here"
A good heads/cam package on any C5 should put you there running atleast low to mid 11's depending on your air,skill etc.
Scott
Addition:
Not just H/C will get low 11's. I failed to mention what else I spent $$ on to get there especially with my so-so 1/4 mile skills.
Exhaust, gears, hardened shafts, clutch, suspension etc. all add up very quickly, but are the only way to get reliable horsepower.

You should be smoking that new little Z06 all day long with some 335's on the rear.
yep i totally agree man u dont have to go bankrupt to out run the new 06 z06 look i am always trying to find ways to go faster without spending alot of money what i did on my trailered car was yank all the xtra weight that you dont need 100 lbs is one tenth so go figure .Another option u might wanna consider is what i plan on doiong keeping my c5 & build a stroked Ls2 402 with a mild camshaft N/A is putting around 550 to the rwhp, another thing in drag racing that u dont wanna forget .I was drag racing before the c5 ever came out back in 86 & 87 when the mustang 5.0 were speed density cars the more you bullet proof ,the better off u are ,itwill pay in the long run to pay chuck johnson to build u a level 4 or 5, that will withstand some wheelstand launchs, the more you modify the less reliable they become thats the nature of the beast in the drag racing scene

You outrun the 06 for about 2 minutes or the time it takes for him to mod his car...

Unless 06 owners are not like the rest of us...

My 03 Z is staying with its current owner, thank you very much.

I am hanging around 400 rwhp, patiently waiting for the World blocks, etc. to become in stock items. Then bring on the 06's and 07's...

Keep the faith brother.
There will always be a bigger dog to come down the block & tear you up. Think of this though. The new Z06 is a big cubed 427 & yours is a small block 350. To me the satisfaction of running a small block to compete with such a monster seems like more of an accomplishment. These new Z06's are selling for like $80-90K right now. You can buy the new Z06 engine and put it in your C5 for less than 1/2 of that if you wanted to. JMHO.

I'm more than happy with my C5 Z06. My car weights 3080 with half a tank of gas and heavy *** 18 x 10.5 rims all around. If i can get 500-550rwhp then i'll be pretty damn happy and my car will trap the 120's eaisly.
