How'd I do ? :)
First, my car.
98 6spd silver (faster! :P )
MTI 221/221 .575/.575 112 Still stock tune
Comp 918s w/ Ti retainters
Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel and ZO6 clutch
High flow cats, Borla Stingers
Dual cone filter
Street Tires (Kumho MX 275/40/18 rears)
My first run sucked ! I was in the first group of cars out and the track just looked WET. I launched at about 3k RPM flat dumping it. I spun the tires through the top of third.

2nd run was an improvement. I lowered my tire pressure to 27PSI. From watching the other vehicles on the track I knew it was hooking now, so I launched exactly the same and hoped it would grab. This time I hooked up the whole way. It took off mildly spinning up then it grabbed and bogged for a split second before making the nose light

I really wanted to do another run, I KNOW I can launch it better. It was tough to get a feel for it with 3 hours between runs though =/ Overall I was pretty happy for my first time out.
Any comments/advice are greatly appreciated
I think they are good times for your first time out for sure! Like the other guy said some tuning would ROCK, and slicks are the best mod you can buy if you are trying to run good times IMO..... your car is DEFINITELY capable power wise of cutting some 1.7 or 1.8 60fts, which would lower your ET dramatically over that 2.1 - really the first 60ft at the track are the most important
Good job and keep on truckin! I have heard REALLY good things about the new MT E/T Street Radials, they arent quite as drastic as ET streets, they are radials and street legal so you can drive with them on out to the track and back home, without any worries, and I have heard they hook better than Nitto's or BFG's drag radials.
Heres the first link I found on Froogle for them - http://froogle.google.com/froogle_cl...coring=p&hl=en

Some track tires are definately next on the agenda.
As far as the Tune, I have a very difficult time justifying the $500 the nearest(hour away) tuner wants. I mean, thats a good chunk of the cash towards new set of heads. And of course if I DO get the tune now..and want the heads later..then I have to have it RE-tuned. I definately want it tuned eventually, but as long as I'm drooling over new heads/headers/intake ....I"m gonna hold off.
Also, my buddy tagged along with his camera. I'm waiting to see if he got my runs on film, if so I'll definately get the vids up
If you got ET Streets and a good tune, you could see low 12's with some good driving, but very few people can run 11's with a baby cam, stock gears, and no headers.
I think you did very well for your first time out with the new set up. More seat time and hanging around the Drag Racing section of this Forum will help you a lot as well.

Most tuners in this area will re-tune when you get new mods for next to nothing.... might wanna look into seeing if ur tuner does that too, that would be a really good investment IMO.
