BTW who ever mentioned that you need a tune after installing headers is full of dung and now owe's me $400. I rolled into the shop untuned 341hp 356tq! Don't waste the money with a tune after bolt ons!
Great numbers but HORRIBLE advice. Everyones car is different and they all need tunes after mods like headers. I dont understand how you can say having a perfect running car and picking up 7rhp and 8wtq for$400 isnt worth it
see how the tune helps you at the track too before you get disappointed about spending the $$. dyno numbers dont tell the whole story of how a tune helps.
yeah, I would not knock a tune after those kinds of mods until you tried a few different tunes. I find that there is alot to be gained from tuning. But dont just look at peak numbers either, this can be misleading. If you only gained 8 hp, then the most important thing is how the rest of the car drives.
Synergy offers a money back deal where if you had your tune done somewhere else, come by, pay for a tune, and if you dont like it, you get your old tune and your money back. Simple.
Actually I do agree with you guys. That later part of my post was to satisfy a friends opinion. He didn't think it was worth it at all. I actually feel the car is more responsive is you ask me, and much smoother. The only think I forgot to do it have him flash the TB actuater to see if I can get rid of, or speed up that delay. It drives me nuts!
BTW Newtech Performance did my tune. Nick is an awesome guy, explained everything perfectly!
