Default My 60' sucks

BFG drag radials and I get a 2.1 60' first time using DR's. I just suck as a driver. Oh well. Keep trying.

There are a good # of factors that get you a decent 60'.
My 60' times when stock and on runcraps was 2.3

Any mods?
Track prepped well?
What rpm are you launching at?

More details will allow some of the folks here to give you specific help.

h/c, headers, hurst shifter. I need a line lock. I couldnt' hold the car still for the burnout. Gotta work on my launch rpm. Sometimes it spins. Sometimes it hooks too good.

Are you running at Little River? That track scares me with the trees hanging directly over the track, not to mention the dip about 1/8 mile up in the rt lane.

Bad track prep can kill any high hp car. You have to come out softer and dayum sure don't want wheel hop.
Other than that, what kind/size of DR's are you running and at what pressure?

Drag radials must be properly heated by a burnout or else they are no better than unheated runflats.

So first step is executing the burnout. Unless you do that, no other steps will matter. To that end....

Personally, I read rangers post on launching before every trip to the drag strip... practice, practice, practice, and you'll get there...
