I've seen a few vids online stating the acetone will improve performance and gas millage. really wanted to try it, but sure am not willing to blow the motor on my car. do you guys have any input on this? here's a link I found on the subject:
just went to the torco website, I wasn't able to find out what's in it. the acetone is much cheaper and possibly more efficient. what I read was the acetone help break the gasoline molecules down so that the gas burn cleaner and more efficiently. the MPG benefits are just that, added benefits. I've been reading lower emissions, better millage, more HP.
I did a search, and found that in an episode of "Myth Busters" they tested the Acetone Myth and found that it actually had a negative effect on Gas mileage. Not to mention some reports of fuel system corrosion....
Hmm... I guess search is our friend.
Torco, FP60, Techron.... I guess I'll stick to those.

FP60 here as well. Had the intake off earlier this summer, the back of the intake valves were spotless. Heads are coming off over the winter, that will be interesting to see what affect it has on the piston carbon and in the heads.
OK my friend works for Stewart Warner Performance as a engineer. They decided to monitor this on 2 cars. One a turbo car and the other a 4cyl NA car both stick. Monitor the fuel economy doing the same drive each day to and from work shifting at the same RPM. Basically keeping things as identical as they could. Found a approx increase in theoretical fuel economy from one week to the next at .18 MPG increase. Now the BEST PART!!!!! After going into this further and doing some testing that you can do in your own garage. Take some acetone put some in a container and put a piece of rubber in the container with it. Measure the size of the rubber before and after. You will not like what it will do to your gas tank/lines,injectors etc.

Yeah FP60 is good stuff. When I use up the jug I have, I think I'm going to try their new FP Plus which is suppose to be even better.
