In good air I would say 500rwhp should be 130 mph.
Mph is also driver dependent to some extent.

i beat a 600 bike in my old trans am, have it on video and everything. 600's arent that great. this was back in 2003 though, so it wasnt one of the new steroid injected bikes lol bikes lose a ton of aero above 80.

ive owned plenty of bikes, 04 r1, 05 gsxr 1k, 00 r6, the 00r6 would get walked by a stock z06 most likely, wasnt that fast of a bike. the 04 r1 only pulled 7 cars on a 500rwhp 240sx.

500HP car i think would be a good run on a 600, i havent had the chance to race any high hp cars like that so i cant tell, but the biggest factor on a bike is the rider, also a car is going to have the upper hand once speeds reach that high because of aerodynamics. sounds like you had a nice run

I forgot the guys name but his stock 460 +/- rwhp C6 Z06 ran 10.?? stock. So you just have to do a little more research and you'll see PLENTY of corvettes running less than 500rwhp in the 10's. Ask ROBZ

when will people learn and understand that on the street, magazine racing means nothing.
Because I didn't post the video! I'm willing to make one if anyone has a 600 in the area.

Not that it matters, but I didnt say 500hp couldn't run 10s. I'm pretty sure I could do that. I ran 10.62 with a less than perfect run with 580hp.

I was disputing someone that said that 500hp would run well over 130mph. Rob ran 132mph with 470ish hp, but he is the man and I haven't seen anyone else come close to that mph with 500hp.

and on the road course at Pocono my bike is a few seconds faster than any bike I have timed on that East Course. I guess I out brake them and out corner them. I know they have better acceleration in the larger sizes down the straights.

ive beat 4 600's already all from a 70 roll. i beat a honda rr,2 gxr's, and a 03 r6.all these bikes have exhaust, power commander and velocity stacks.i beat them from anywhere from a half a car to a car and half. the only 600 that beat me was my cousins 05 r6. he is a very good driver and his bike has the same mods as the other bikes we raced around 7-8 times and not even once did i beat him. he would pull eveytime he shifted. he would beat me by 2 cars.
i think when a z06 and a 600, race its a drivers race. most people on bikes arnt good drivers, thats wat ive noticed from my experience.

I guess I should have stated 500rwhp NA Vettes, mainly stroker cars. Im guessing yours is SC'ed? It has to be with only trapping 127 with 550rwhp, the area under the curve with a centrifugal is not even in the same league as a NA curve in the 500 range.

There are a few local vettes, 402's and 383's making high 490's or low 500's knocking off consistant 131-132 trap speeds.

124-126 is what 440-460rwhp stock cube NA vettes are trapping if they have a decent driver.

my 00 turbo busa would annihilate any car from any speed regardless of how much money they would throw at their ride... i even did a two up race (me/passanger) since the owner of a turbo viper -1000hp was bitching that my bike was built for one not two like a car...no race...he was dust...

So today my friend stop making excuses with his R6 and decided to finally except my challenge with my new motor. We went to the local "air strip" where we decided to do a pull from 70-130. This is my first test for the car since I've got my car out the shop with the new motor. I wasn't too sure of the possible outcome but have watched plenty of videos to have a good idea. So we did a three honk and I just walked him from the go. It was a pretty good consistent walk. I ended up about 5 cars on him and braked. There was just no chance. I think I am quickly getting use to the new power because at times it doesn't feel that fast to me but this surely confirms that it's there! I would have got a video but didn't want someone to record so I could save weight. I can't wait until I get nitrous!

My mods are in sig and he has exhaust and a power commander.
video?

What bike? A 600?

So you looking to do a freeway run with a NA C5 Z06 in Houston...?

I'm game.

But not faster than 65mph of course. Since that is the speed limit and this is a public forum read by many people, including Law Enforcement

I've ran a GSXR600 and pulled it hard (I was off the bottle). About 4-5 cars before I let off.

If any 600s in the Atlanta metro area want to get some runs on video (on a race track/air strip of course), drop me a PM. I'm down. Motor (no nitrous) vs. bike.
