Default Bracket racing consistency

Sure you have to cut good lights, but your car has to perform as well.
Yesterday, my CARTEK built LS2 came through big time with 8 consecutive runs of 10.85! Which lead me into the FINALS in the Corvette Challenge!

Yep, thru time shots, & eliminations, even on 2 runs when I lifted, all #'s calculated to the 6 other full out runs of 10.85..!

So, sure I was cutting some great R/T's, but this car is consistent as you can get!

Even last week at a rental at Atco, I made 12 runs all 10.65-10.67...!

Bottom line, if you're looking to go fast, and if you want consistent, I HIGHLY recommend CARTEK!

Oh, BTW my opponent in the Finals, ALSO had his car done up by CARTEK a yr or two ago! In fact, at the end of last season, he won 14 straight rounds & appeared in 2 Finals in the same day!!!!!

Talk about consistency. I thought it was good when I can run around .05 off my dial in.

I think there is much more satisfaction in being a driver instead of being a passenger and relying on the car to do the majority of the load. That's why we need to re-establish the old system of two classes such as AS/S - AS/A then we would be comparing apples to apples. Even in bracket racing the automatic trans cars have an advantage.

Just a little frustrated with my shifting. I just can't seem to get it figured out. I agree, it is much more satisfying to shift the car yourself. I just gotta get my timing down which seems to be a never ending challenge.

I'm thinking about installing a better shift light. One that you can set parameters for launch RPM and every shift point. The single point one I have now is almost worthless. I've got a good idea planned for installing one of the bigger Autometer ones and have it be temporary just for the track.

Congrats Ellis! Nice driving.
