Default Dyno-tune after cam swap

Just wanted to post my first dyno-tune numbers after a cam swap that was performed on my 2000 last week.I had a pretty small cam in before and now just upgraded to an England Green Whiplash.I was pretty happy with the numbers but, anything else I can do to squeeze out a few more would be helpful.I'm already planning an underdrive pulley and a FAST 90/90 setup. The rest of the performance mods I have already are in my profile signature. Thanks guys for any help

I'll quote England Green on what he says that his actual numbers are proprietary but,it's safe to say the specs are in the mid 240's range with lift around .600 to .610 and I'm probably being a little modest.

Thanks for the reply

Everyones proprietary numbers crack me up. I know I would never install anything without knowing actual numbers.

Good choice on the cam package it really wakes the car up.It is an MN6 tranny with a C5 Z06 clutch in though.I had the fluid changed out in March in both the tranny and diff to Royal Purple Syncromax and Max Gear and shifting is much improved.
The Z06 clutch was in there when I bought the car in '04 with 32K on the OD,now it's at almost 64K and still holds up great. The exhaust is a
Corsa Indy/Pace car series with pro-series tips,TPIS LT headers,Dr.Gas Race X-pipe and no cats.

Good luck with your cam swap, you won't be disappointed.EnglandGreen is very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to asking what parts I needed to make this set-up work.

Then you will never do business with East Coast Supercharging (ECS) or any of the other leading Corvette Tuners in the United States.

ECS has more 9 second Corvette street cars running their custom proprietary cams than anyone else, BTW.

We protect our R&D and intellectual property. If you have a problem with that, you do not have to buy the cams.

I'm not bashing your cams or your work. I have no desire for a 9 sec vette. As far as your R&D and intellectual property, if its was such a secret and sought after information someone would just measure one of your cams. As for buying cams I like my proprietary cam and I have no problems getting parts when I need them.
I do like some of the cars your turning out. Keep up your good work.

Proprietary, Proprietary. It's all a bunch of BS. Most of the cams are off the shelf Comp Cams with the info blacked out. Why don't you guys just drop your pants and measure. That's what is all about isn't it? The only proprietary cam is one you grind for yourself. Most of you guys just buy someone elses stuff and brag it is yours. Just like dyno numbers. All they are good for is bragging. You want to know how much power you got, line em up.

Thank you

I love driving it,it took a little getting used to with how it drives. It needs a little more pedal when starting out in first or else it'll start
"chugging" or "surging" and for sure I don't shift in to 6th unless I'm
at least running 70mph.It was definitely a worthwhile upgrade, the
sound alone made it for me.

Thanks again for the compliments, have a good one

The reason for alot of shops not posting the exact Cam specs is because people will look for the better deal. I never give the exact Cam specs or timing while talking to a customer. Why should I if you just waste my time and YOU give the $$ to someone else?
When the Cam is sold the customer gets the cam card,I just ask them not to post exact specs.

Anybody can have a custom ground cam made, only the few shops actually test the cams out before selling them. That is the knowledge the customer is paying for.

Thats all fine if the customer knows nothing about his car doesn't work on it. If some one builds their own engines they kind of need the specs when deciding on what parts they use along with the cam.

This is the deal on custom cams.
Comp, who most of us use, has a catalog of lobes. Various lifts, durations, ramp rates. The call them masters.
Anyone can call them up, and request a wide range of lobes (FI,XFI,XER,LSK, etc.)
You can then further taylor them with different durations @ .050, different lobe seperations (LSA) and different amounts of advance ground in. Different combinations yeild different results.
It is highly unlikely that ANYONE on here has propietary lobe masters, with the exceptions of the like of Katech, Lingenfelter, Callaway. The reason being, the masters cost 2500.00 PER LOBE.
Not only that, but there's only so much variation you can make to the ramp rate, using the same base circle.

Mine is the same way. I wonder if there is any way to help the 6th deal, or if it is just going to be the nature of the beast. It is not a big deal but Maybe EG will answer

So what were the numbers...apparently they've been removed.

Also, I know you have catback...and I'm assuming you had longtubes done as well. What else has been done to the car?

I'm in the market for a cam and more information would be nice..

Talking **** publicly about someone's policy is not going to change anything, so suck it up and deal with it accordingly.

i would like to see the dyno sheet. i got the same hp and more tq with my baby 224/230 xfi cam and less mods. i will pm you and shoot you a copy of my dyno sheet and a list of my mods. if you are wanting to squeeze out more hp and tq change to lg or arh headers and do a ported fast. the tpis headers have a very short primary and a small collector.
