Default ^^^ Bolt on C5 Record Pass ^^^

Just got in from a rental and one of the cars I tune broke the Bolt-On Record on his second pass out. This was a long standing record of a great driver in his own right. Past Record was 11.21@123 and on his second pass he went 11.16@122 Some great driving!

Looking to further better the numbers, the car went another 11.16, a few 11.12@122's, then as the air got alittle better car went (2) 11.06@123

Last pass of the day.......................... 10.99@123!!!

That was amazing today. Some records fell and others were backed up proving they were not just a flash in the pan.

Wait what kind of car is this? A C6Z06 or C5Z06? with bolts ons? Is heads and cam considered bolts on if its a C5? I'm freaking dumb founded if this is a C5 Z06 which from the MPH make me think so. This thing would be cutting what 1.42 60fts to run 10.99s. Whats the HP/TQ?

DAMNIT CONGRATS BUT I FEEL RIPPED!!!!!!

Juan,
I used DRs on front Z06 wheels and borrowed GTO spares from Troy. As for the launch, we came out at 6000 rpm on this particular pass.

I do not consider heads, cam, or even higher ratio rocker arms a bolt on. The C5Z Fast List is very explicit. It is not necessary and even more unlikely to cut 1.42 60's. On a Mustang Dyno, my car produced 382 HP and 351 TQ.
Thanks for the congrats.

Apparently that Textrilia Clutch holds up pretty well.

Really cool man congrats again. I wish I'd seen it happen. I gotta start hanging out there more often.

Mods are a Vararam CAI, American Racing Headers, Textralia Exo-Skel clutch and 4.10 gears. Yes, those are my short list of performance mods. We ran yesterday at an Atco rental. I wish I could have stayed for the night T&T as the air was incredible.

Now to thank all of the people who made this possible.
Nick at American Racing Headers. The finest headers out there.
Jarrod at Textralia. The Exo-Skel performed flawlessly sustaining launches from 4000 to 6000 rpm. My 115 lb. wife had no problem with driving this clutch on the street.
Chris at ECS for supplying a part at the last minutes notice. Thanks again. You're a classy guy.
To my friends Tommy and Troy of Anger Management Racing. Tommy turns the wrenches while Troy tunes them. These are two of the most talented guys out there.
Thanks Rob. None of this would have been possible if it were not for you.

Good friends are hard to find.
My first shakedown pass was coming out easy with a launch of 4000 rpm. This pass was an 11.35.
The second pass out was at 5000 rpm which broke the old bolt-on record of 11.214. This pass chimed in at 11.16.
After that we tinkered with the minute details which some people neglect. This is why the AMR crew sets goals and achieves them.
I distinctly remember Marshal jumping up and down as I approached and he handed me the timeslip. I was elated. Thanks Marshal for not destroying this slip. Thanks Tsab. I think its time to get a set of ARH. Thanks Ron for your support.

You won't need sleep because you have an automatic. Cannot wait to see your great passes.

Do you have a DTE brace or somthing like it?

Are you concerned with tearing the rear right out of the car?

As I'm new to drag racing, I'm trying to learn what works.

Several people have told me launching like you did would destroy the rear.

Thanks

Thanks. Tommy and Troy can work magic on a car. As for my best mod, it was learning how to drive correctly. Ranger was a great start. Then came Dr. Ron and robz. All of these guys can flat out drive.
The Exo-Skel is a superb clutch. And speaking of great drivers, J-ROD (Jarrod Cunningham) can hook you up with one. They are well worth the money.

THATS IT NOW I"M REALLY PISSED! MY CAR IS A FN POS!!!!!!!!! I have your entire run beat minus the 10.99 run part Plus i have 3mph on you in the 1/4. Is it possible to have a intermittant brake application by the traction control system at the 1300ft mark on my car? Pittman, nickolbag, RobZ etc etc etc. If anyone see's a red FRC on fire at the end of the track dont put it out!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the congrats.
Those dyno numbers were with 3.42 gears prior to the 4.10's that were installed a few days ago.

This was the first time out for Gary on 4.10 gears and it was impressive to see how quickly he adapted.
I have no doubt he will find another tenth.

I saw Tsab by the air pump and he told me the great news...then I was already in the staging lanes and about to pull up to the water box when I saw you guys were still over in the rental parking area so I said to myself "to hell with this first pass, I got to go congratulate my fellow yellow Corvette owner on this stellar achievement", so I did.

Awesome driving, congrats again dude.
