Default PB in 03 c5z

I ran a personal best time in my 03Z out at Houston Raceway park tonight. My setup consist of a Hurricane intake, ported TB, HPE Mega Death cam, American racing 1 3/4 headers, LG motorsports big 3 cat back, ASP underdrive pulley, and Nitto DR's. I would post up the slip, but not sure how to do that. The car made 443whp and 399wtq before the LG big 3 exhaust. Previous best time running the stock tires and mufflers was an 11.528 @ 122mph.

60ft....1.663
1/8...7.218@ 98.79 mph
1/4...11.206@ 123.32

Its a pretty large cam for a 346, 244/242 IIRC.

As Blu said it is a large cam for a 346. The specs are 244/243 .612/.610 on a 112 LSA. The rear end and clutch is stock. Tire pressure was about 17.5 psi and I believe I launched around 4.5K rpms. I slipped the clutch for a short moment and came on with WOT very quickly. I was shifting right around 6500 rpms. I only got one pass in and got kicked out for no roll cage. I have ran an 11.528 before on the stock tires and a very well prepped track, but I was not expecting to click off an 11.2 on my first pass. The car felt like a rocket out of the hole and I could tell it was a good pass.

At some point, you may wish to install an aftermarket clutch. The stock clutch will most likely give up at your current power level.
Congrats again.

Thanks! I think the clutch was slipping a little in first gear after I let the pedal all the way out. I couldn't really tell since things were happening so fast. I thought the stock Z clutch could hold somewhere in the neighborhood of 500Ft/lbs of torque? I only made 399wtq before the LG catback and I wouldn't think it would be significantly more after the install.

Nope your stock clutch won't last too much longer if you are hooking up that good at the track.

I don't really plan on going back to the track to run anytime soon. I just wanted to get one clean pass using the DR's. Last time I ran on them I couldn't shift because the clutch was sticking to the floor.

Default bleeder

I installed a bleeder on the slave cylinder that allows you to flush out the dirty fluid. I need to flush it again its starting to get a little sticky again on a spirited run.

Nice pass.

Surprising to some, the stock clutch paired with nitto drag radials makes a good combination and you're yet another person to prove this.
The nittos bite just hard enough to allow for traction that often doesn't overpower the clutch when launched correctly.
Even if the clutch slips somewhat on the launch and even on the shifts it prevents excess wheelspin that slows your car down. Seems like a nice combo coupled with good driving.
Tires/clutch combo is super important on any setup.
